1. In the login window choose “Connection Properties” – the settings should match the picture.

2. Install the telnet command; instructions are available at https://technet.microsoft.com/pl-pl/library/cc771275(v=ws.10).aspx

• Then perform the following steps:
• a. open the cmd console (Start→Run→cmd)
• b. type the command: telnet mssql01.dcsweb.pl 51433
• c. a successful result is a blank black window
