Creating web sites

There are two ways to create a new site:

• You can create a site while creating a domain,
• You can create a site independently in the Web & Applications section by selecting Web Sites.

To create a new site independently, after previously creating a domain without a site, in the Web & Applications section, choose Web Sites.

Click Add and open the new site creation wizard:

Select the previously created domain that forms the basis of the site.

Click Create Web Site to complete the wizard and create the site.

Place application files under the site's wwwroot directory; the path to the directory is in the site's properties on the Home Folder tab. If the application creates or modifies files, you may need to grant write permissions. The application will not have permissions for directories located above its own directory in the hierarchy.

Select the appropriate .NET version for your application on the Extensions tab. For .NET Core use “No Managed Code”.
